Moxie Fab World - Keen on Neon Challenge

Hello Friends -
I know.  I am easily sidetracked from what I should be doing {baking, wrapping}.  But this morning when pulling out some cardstock for the kiddies to make their daddy a birthday card, I found this neon paper.

Why do I have it and how old is it?  Five years ago, I made party invitations out of it.  I know . . . Relax.  Don't Do It.  But, I did it anyways.  And yes, I cannot throw / recycle anything.  And look, it had a use today!

The challenge {ends tonight} is at Moxie Fab World.

This paper is so bright, I had to wear shades . . .

Happy Day to you -

My Version of a Snowman Tag -

Hello Friends -
I am in packaging mode for cookies I made this weekend.

I started this tag a week or so ago and it was not quite right.  So, I set it aside and came back to it to figure out what else was needed.  I added the strip of striped sparkly paper on the left side and it made everything better.  {I know!  A 1/8" x 2" strip of paper! But it filled the space.}

Oh yes, and I thought I was so witty making this snowman out of buttons.  Please laugh with me!

Happy Day to you -

Tags to Go -

Hello Friends -
I know - two posts in one day!  Watch out - there may be a third!  I have had 2 cups of coffee, a few buckeyes and time to stamp a bunch lately!

So, my husband and I were invited to a holiday event {without the children}.  Exciting, I know!

Of course, I wanted to bring a hostess gift with a great tag!  And luckily before we left, I decided to take a photo.  And low and behold, Stamptacular Sunday Challenge # 193 is Anything But A Card!  Here is their link:  Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

Here is what I made:

Sentiment and Snowflake{Snowflake Stamp Set} - Iron Gate Stamps {my stamp company}

I free hand cut the base cardboard star.

Don't worry, there will be more tags coming soon.  I need to start wrapping and I am really liking the tags that I have made lately.  So much fun to make and give!

Happy Day to you!

Now on to the fun stuff!

I made (assembled) two Ritz crackers with peanut butter in the middle and dipped in chocolate.  A yummy little treat to enjoy by the fire or in the car or while blogging . . .

Snowflake Stamp Set  - Iron Gate Stamps
Cardstock - Bazzill
Cardstock Sticker - Jillibean Soup {Soup Label}
Hexagon Die - Spellbinders
My Stash - Ink, Twine, Bakers Twine, Button, Pearls, VersaMark, White Embossing Powder, Mini Tag, Corrugated Cardboard, White Paint
{I hand cut the tag and funky star.}

I needed to STAMP tonight  {hehehe - My stamps arrived early . . . so the snowflakes are here even though there are none on the ground yet.}.  But I did not have a lot of time.  This card took about 10 minutes and it sparkles!  It is 4.25" x 5.5" card.  I used 3 blue inks and 2 shades of blue cardstock.  And sprayed glimmer mist over the card after I stamped it.  I think I will make up several of these as "Thank You" cards so I might be ahead of the game in at least one area!

From the Garden - Evergreen Wreath and Container

Hello Friends -
I hope you had a nice weekend!  Ours was fun . . . filled with decorating!  Helped my good friend decorate her home and tree.  And with our unseasonable nice weather decked the arbor with garland and lights and a few light-up candy canes to make the kids happy!

Last week was a busy one!  Loaded new products into the online store Iron Gate Stamps and I taught 3 classes for the Evanston Ecology Center - Wreath Making and Winter Containers for adults and Winter Containers for kids.  Fun times!

Here are samples of what I made last week to get everyone in the holiday spirit!

Wreath from evergreen trimmings.

OK, so I usually make a container much more full and with embellishments.  But this one is now sitting in front of a public building and could easily grow legs.  Which is a shame but reality . . .

Happy Day to you!

Moxie Fab World - Tuesday Trigger Frame by Frame

Hello Friends -
I hope you have had a great week!  It has been a busy one here!

I liked the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger - Frame by Frame.  Funny thing.  I painted this frame for their mint green challenge several weeks ago.  But I got busy and missed making a card in time to enter.  So this frame has been sitting on my desk needing to be used.  {Back story - I did not have mint green paint so I made it by mixing a bright green and sky blue acrylic.  And surprisingly it turned out a perfect color!  And then I didn't make the card.  Probably spent too much time admiring the color!  LOL!}

Well, anyways . . . here is what I made.  I knew it could have a lot of dimension since it was going in a bubble envelope.  It is a 4.25" x 4.25" card.  Have a Happy Day!  Mary -

Now on to the fun stuff!

When I signed up for this blog hop I definitely was leaving my comfort zone.  Acckkk!!  A scrapbook page.  I knew I had photos from apple picking with my children and nephew.  But I have this real commitment issue with photos stuck onto paper.  Too many decisions.  Too many choices.  What is the right size?  So I started small 6" x 6"- less space is good for me.  And after doing one page, I have a goal to finish the whole (yes, 6 pages - but 12 sides!) book.  I know it is fairly primitive, with layers of paper and one photo.  But this is a major step for me.  Thank you for the encouragement - I can hear it out there.

Feeling Blue . . .

Hello Friends -
I hope you are having a great day!  I am!  Found some great sales in the stores (doing a bit of Christmas shopping).

No, I am not sad.  I just decided to use blues today.  I do not know why but I usually am more of an earthy browns and greens kind of girl.  So trying something different!

I used stamps from my new stamp line Iron Gate Stamps the Weathervane Stamp Set.  The tickets are cut from a piece of the Authentique paper.

Happy Day to you!
